Janes has an article talking about the Block 45 E-3G that reached IOC in 2014. They don't talk about much, but the one thing they do talk about is the new replay ability the system has.
Under the older versions, when debriefing at Red Flag, if the pilots under their control asked if they made a threat call, they had to go to a video tape and might or might not hear if they made the call. Under the new system, it shows time hacks and they can tell if calls were made or not. In combat this isn't a huge advantage, but for training this is huge, for both controller and controlled.
