The Canadian CF-18 replacement program has released the current timeline they plan on following. The definition of requirements will be released next year, with the RFP dropping between next year and 2019, and the award announced between 2018 and 2020. The schedule may change based on the defense review paper being worked on. It's scheduled to be released by the end of this year. They're going to have to accelerate the schedule or dump a bunch of money into their Hornet fleet, because they've already extended the retirement to 2025. aviationweek.com/defense/canada-updates-procurement-plans-prioritizes-fighters
