A newly released Air Force strategy guide says that unless the AF radically overhauls the procurement process, and adopts a multitude of new technologies they will lose Air Superiority within 14 years.
A study will be conducted next year to look at new ways of protecting that capability. Calls for ending cutting edge development in fighters have been made, due to "inevitable under performance" and almost immediate required upgrades because they took so long to develop.
