An E/A-18 Growler from Electronic Attack Squadron 133, currently on board the USS John Stennis, operating in the South China Sea suffered significant damage during a landing accident. The aircraft was attempting to land on board, on the 29th, when the hook grabbed the cable while the aircraft was still airborne. The damage was suffered to the nose area of the aircraft, and at least one engine suffered FOD damage. It was initially rated a Class A mishap, but may be downgraded depending on the final damage level. www.military.com/daily-news/2016/06/01/navy-growler-damaged-during-carrier-landing-in-south-china-sea.html
