Lockheed announced the successful first flight of the T-50A, designed for the Air Force T-X program. The T-50A builds on the the Korean T-50 trainer that currently has over 100,000 flight hours in the fleet. The A adds in flight refueling capability, as well as an improved cockpit, closer to what will be found in a fifth generation aircraft. Lockheed is building their assembly plant in Greenville, SC. lockheedmartin.com/us/news/press-releases/2016/june/T50AFirstFlight.html

It is an odd looking airplane. Looks surprisingly like the future T-100 (M346) though.

If they have student pilots trying to hook up with tankers that'll be quite the sight to see.

That's one of the requirements added under the program. Currently the T-38 can only go to pre-contact, so they have to learn actual refueling under their units.
