The Air Force has deployed the BAE Advanced Precision Kill Weapons System for the first time. The Navy and Marines have used them since 2012, and Army Apache helicopters have used them as well. The system adds a laser guidance system to 2.75 inch rockets.
This is the first deployment for them on either the Viper or Hog. Both the Air Force and Army acquired the rockets from the Navy inventory.
