By the end of this year, 12 B-52s will complete the CONECT digital architecture upgrade. This will add digital displays to the cockpit, moving maps, and near real time upgrade ability to targets and threats.
The fleet is also undergoing the 1760 Internal Weapons Bay Upgrade. In addition to six externally carried GPS guided weapons, this will allow up to eight additional weapons to be carried internally in the weapons bay.
